Awards Night - March 4th 2023

We recently held our annual Awards Night which was enjoyed by over 160 members, friends and family at the wonderful Garryvoe Hotel.

We were delighted to welcome Cork Camogie Chairperson Mairead O'Donovan, and Imokilly Camogie Chairperson Ger McCarthy as guests of honour to share in our celebrations.

Highlights included the presentation of awards to our members who represented us so well in the past year at both divisional and county level, which included All Ireland medal winners Chloe Lane and Ava McAuliffe. Player of the Year and Most Improved Player awards were also made across our competitive age groups. The final award went to our club person of the year, Imelda Hegarty, a very much deserving and popular choice. Of course the main highlight of the night was the presentation of medals to our U14 County Champions.

We were thrilled to have 3 time All Star and 4 time All Ireland Senior Camogie medal winner Aisling Thompson with us to make the presentation to our star struck champions. Aisling met and chatted with everyone, players and parents alike, and we are very grateful to her for taking time out of her hectic schedule to make our night so memorable.

Once the presentations and speeches were complete the music began, the high heels were swapped for a more comfortable option and we danced and celebrated into the night.

Thanks to Stephen and all his staff at Garryvoe Hotel who looked after us so well, and to all our sponsors who provided the spot prizes for the many dance competitions, especially to Roger Harty & Rooskagh Coffee Co.
